Women’s Day was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony in the school.During assembly the children presented the women teachers with a very emotional songs.The ladies were then led in prayer by the male teachers who later presented a Power-Point highlighting the need to respect women and look into their every need and fulfill them on a priority basis. Gender equality was highlighted under the theme “BE BOLD FOR CHANGE”. The women’s staff rooms were decorated with floral rangolis and every woman staff was felicitated with a rose bud and a Cadbury chocolate slab.

The KG Day is a moment of celebration where each and every child gets an opportunity to participate on the stage. It is a joyous occasion, which we all look forward to. For teachers it is a great opportunity, to showcase the talents they have nurtured in the children, and for the parents it is a matter of great pride to watch them on stage

Annual Day forms an integral part of our school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas.

Sports Day is an important event in the life of every school. Sports themselves have a vital role in making a child sound physically as well as mentally.The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports captain. An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the event. Our Sports Day celebration provides a great platform to the students to showcase the spirit of sportsmanship.

Students came in their traditional dresses and exhibited joy and pride as they filled the campus with the land’s cultural aura. An Occasion that marks Joy and Cheer, brings along with it everything that is best. Just look at the Joyful faces of our children enjoying the Grand Pongal.Pongal is also celebrated as a thanksgiving festival for various Hindu deities. The festival of Pongal is held dear particularly by the farming community as it marks the end of harvesting season.

A play on the birth of Christ was the highlight of the Christmas celebration at SGV. one of the religious and cultural celebrations worldwide. Christmas Day has been declared as the public holiday by the government in most of the countries all across the world. It is also celebrated by the non-Christian people culturally in India and other countries by proper decoration and arrangement. This celebration is one of the integral parts of the holiday celebrations of the year.

The students of the school participate in various Inter School and Intra School Competitions where they not only prove their mettle but also act as tough competitors to the other participants. It is always the earnest soul that has swayed the destiny of a nation, imbued with passion for knowledge and quest for a lofty purpose, these souls will continue to blaze a trail for us by virtue of their hard work and resolute focus.
